Review: The Viscount who Loved Me by Julia Quinn

Anthony is the first born son of Violet and Edmond Bridgerton, therefore he is also the heir to his fathers estate.

Anthony adored his father, everything he did, he did to please his father and live in his father's shadows. Anthony's father died very suddenly at the only of only 35 from a bee sting, he was was fit and health and had no underlying health issues, so his death came as a massive shock to his family.

Anthony took his father's death hard, and from that very moment decided that he was to take on his role as head of the house and take care of mother and his siblings to best of his abilities, and he did this dutifully. Anthony had convinced himself, that there was nothing in life he could do that would be more or better then what his father could, so Anthony was convinced that he too, would never live to be more then 38 years of age.

Anthony lived his best life, he enjoyed life to the fullest, he partied, gambled, boxed, enjoyed women, he lived the life of a Rake. However, he has decided it is time for him to choose a bride and settle down as after all he is the Viscount and has a legacy to pass on to first born son. However he did have a few requirements for a wife: 1. She need to be pretty. 2. Smart and 3. Someone he would NOT fall in love with (as he did not wish to marry someone that he lived, knowing that he would only have a short time to live)

Then Anthony met Kate and her younger sister Edwina. Edwina ticked every box on Anthony's list of requirements for a wife, but there was one thing standing in his way, her elder sister Kate. Kate was frustrating, strong willed, beautiful in her own way, smart & Intelligent, and he had to get Kate's approval if he wished to marry Edwina.

I loved the Viscount Who Loved me. It was comedic and entertaining, romantic and thrilling. It receives a 5 star rating from me.
