My favourite category is Historical Fiction, although I am a fan of most categories, eg. Thriller, Crime, Mystery, Romance, Comedy,

I was an avid reader as a child and teenager, and then life got in the way.

I have re-discovered my love of reading, with thanks to Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series. Since then I have begun the task of re-reading all of the books in the my home library and many many more.

Goodreads has been a wonderful resource for me to find new books to read, discover and share with "friends"

In 2021, I decided to start sharing my thoughts on the books I read in the hopes that others will discover books that excite and appeal to them. 

I am always looking for a book to read in my down time, yet I will only provide honest reviews. Please feel free to message me if you would like me to consider your ARC.

My book rating system:

5 Stars: It was amazing. It was compelling, well-researched, entertaining and/or moving and often complex. I will definitely want to read more books by this author.

4 Stars: I enjoyed it and would recommend it to people who like the genre. I will definitely want to read more books by this author.

3 Stars: It was a good book and well-crafted. I would recommend it to the right person.

2 Stars: I liked some things about the book. It had potential, but did not fully deliver on it.

1 Star: I did not enjoy the book and may not have been able to finish it. I would not recommend this book to others.
